Meet the 3 Amigos
Ronnie Reyes Plaza
My story begins in Salta, a beautiful province in northern Argentina, renowned for its rich culinary traditions, distinctive wines and strong cultural identity. Growing up there shaped my connection with food, hospitality and the traditions that bring people together around the table.
With more than 20 years of experience as a professional chef, I have built my career across Argentina, New Zealand and Australia. I believe great wine is not simply about what's in the glass; it's about its origin, the people behind it, the stories it carries and the experiences it creates.
Through 3 Amigos Wine, I want to bring a little piece of Argentina to Australia. I love to eat and drink, so I can't wait to share a meal and a glass of wine with you!
Tomas Tonnelier
Born and raised in Mendoza, my connection to the wine industry is in my DNA. I spent much of my childhood running through the vines, where my father was an engineer and vineyard manager.
After studying business, my journey took me from cellar hand in Mendoza to harvest seasons in McLaren Vale, before I dedicated myself fully to the wine trade in 2011. I went on to establish wine retail and hospitality ventures in New Zealand, where I became the primary supplier of Argentinean wine in the region.
Now I'm bringing that expertise, and the heart of Argentina, to Australia. Can't wait to share a glass of wine with you!
Alejandro Ces
With a career in international tax and transfer pricing, Alejandro brings a commercial perspective to 3 Amigos, helping his considerably more wine-knowledgeable friends with the business side of their latest adventure.
His wine education remains very much a work in progress, somewhere between enthusiastic wine lover (not to be confused with enthusiastic drinker) and aspiring connoisseur, with a particular affection for wines with character, authenticity and great value.
Tasting notes: entrepreneurial aromas, strong Argentine influences and a distinctly commercial palate. Best enjoyed around a table with good food, good friends and another bottle within reach.
